The government of the Balearic Islands has approved the new "eco-tax"* which, in accordance with Law 2/2016, will be applicable starting on July 1, 2016. This eco-tax applies to all guests over 16 years of age and is €1.50/person/day for 4-star hotels (Riu Bravo, Riu San Francisco, Riu Festival, Riu La Mola, Riu Palace Bonanza Playa and Riu Bonanza Park) and €1.00/person/day for 3-star hotels (Riu Playa Park, Riu Concordia and Riu Romantica) **. There are two cases in which the eco-tax is reduced***:

-A 50% reduction will apply to stays of more than 8 days in the same hotel and will only be applicable from the 9th day forward.

-A 50% reduction will also apply to stays between November 1st and April 30th.
